The Korps Mariniers is the marine corps and amphibious infantry component of the Royal Netherlands Navy. It is trained to operate anywhere in the world in all environments, under any condition and circumstance, as a rapid reaction force. The Korps Mariniers can be deployed to a given location within 48 hours. Their motto is Qua Patet Orbis ("As far as the world extends").

Next to our Afghanistan based maps, we want to make maps on other locations as well. For example, dark and dense forests, or jungle maps for the new division.
The layout of the weapons is mostly the same as the Dutch Royal Army. They use different vehicles, so we're planning on getting them a Landing craft and some light vehicles.

It's not much trouble at all to do this, Rhino. It only needs a new playerskin and at least one map that goes with it. Filesize doesn't grow that much at all, since we already have all the weaponry. Only need some vehicles, but can do for now with placeholders.
By the way, the "subfaction" part can be a bit confusing. It's a division, not an entire faction.

It more like a announcement that we will also do this to keep the jungle lovers happy
As soon as our main faction is done this is a very easy to make spinoff.
So Dutch Army first + maps and when thats done will make the Marines.

Why do you think PR dose not have the Royal Marines truly in PR even thou its basically a "simple" task since all it needs is a few small extra things to turn the British Army into Royal Marines? The big thing is a decent map, with statics to have a true beach assault.
Yes it not "that" hard to do, but when you still need to finish off the main faction, its far better to concentrate on that.
You will regret doing them if you do them before your main faction is done, trust me.

I guess it couldn't hurt start thinking about the development. As I understand it most of the actual objects for the Army has been created so starting to model whatever is needed for the marines (vehicles and statics) while the army stuff is being completed and maps are being created would not be unreasonable imo.

ye, providing its kept low priority and dont get in the way of any other things that need making but all I would do at this stage is plan it and then look into developing it when the time is right.
