it wasn't meant to be confortable, just useful and durable.

I'm just following other models, all of them have 12 sided "wheels", the detail will be given by the normal map.

Salmo, put 20-sided-wheels for the 3p lod0 and leave the 12-sided-one's for the lod1, where this won't make a big difference...
I think the Land Rover was made this way and it looks pretty nice ingame. :)

I agree that 12 sided looks odd on grayscale, but the textures helps a lot, the models are in FPaiva hands, I'll wait for the texture, and if is needed I'll increased the quality.

hey folks, I got a problem

I still don't have Fpaiva textures, so I apllied a solid green just to proceed with the export.
I did the final assemble of the model, with the lods, cols and stuff, but something really wierd happen.
In maya and that Bfmeshviewer it looks fine, all green

but into the editor and the game, some black objects appear.

I don't have a clue why its happenig, I double checked the normals, triangulated it thousand times, some one can help MEEEE!!!!

I wish the best of luck on fixing that, Salmonella! Stopped by just to say it looks like a very promising model. Gotta love that wreck; I might blow it up every time I drive one, just to take a look at it

Hmmmmmm... I think that you still should add more polys to the wheels. BTW, sorry, I don't know much about modeling, can't help ya.

if you don't know, then don't say, the wheels are as high poly as on every vehicle, they are fine the way they are

Yeah, but they are still a bit... Square. Didn't observed other models however,

in 3dmax is option FLIP Poligon (or something), try use 2side map, or flip this poly to another side. maybe this is a problem.
