Re: Ask the [DEV]s a (?) - Part 2
im sure most of us remember the Zip line from BF2
back then we need to have the expansion to get this stuff
my question is can we get the Zip line back to PR.. (very useful in Muttrah or urban environment like Grozny)
or no cause its not Realistic ?

The zip line is more spec ops stuff, and I think it could be seriously abused. Could you imagine a zip line from the castle on Op Archer down to the village? Because it would happen.
That said, it would be fun to find it as a pick-up item on some maps.

Would be fun to have silly stuff but everyone would know where it was - random implementation and it only lasts for 15 minutes.....

Ask the Devs:
Is the Forward outpost/Hideout programmation calculating the Z factor with the overrunning system?
I'm glad someone is talking about implement of silly stuff, I am currently developping an urban map with Turkish_Moose and I had in mind of adding some cool car that the insurgent might have stolen from the citizen
Maybe like a Ferrari as supply techi
And a subaru mounted with a PKM on the copilot (or even a sawed roof top with a .50 cal that have a 45? angle on the front side
Moose had in mind of making a Golf course in his map, I had the idea of making caddy cart for it xD

Hello devs.
Sorry if it's a taboo or controversial subject, but it is currently very difficult to live with the cheaters
Would not be possible to implement a tool that takes screen screen shots of the players directly to the server in order to catch cheaters?
For example, the admin sends a command that takes a player suspected of print and send to the server. This print could only be seen after the end of the match, to prevent anyone take advantage of it.
Or better yet, take screen shots automatically and randomly players during the game and send it to the server. High resolution is not required.
Thx!

Not a taboo subject, there was something like this a while back iirc, where it took a low res picture from the players perspective. It didnt work that well though. We do also have battlerecorder, and people have found cheaters on there and made videos to proveit.HIROhd wrote:Hello devs.
