Whatever happened to maps that were being tested a while ago? like White Dragon or Road to Perdition and the maps that Rusty made a while ago, Adak and Borovsko Bridge. Operation Sapphire was also a fun one that I remember from map tests a while back.

I'd like to think they're still being worked on, hopefully they are, some maps like Ghost Train and/or Tad Sae need to be retired to be replaced by other maps or overhauled.

How do i join the tester team, i heard there is a great need for more testers so i applied but i never heard back.
Maybe my application got lost in the mail. :)

Lashkar AAS layer was removed long ago, in v1.3.5 or somewhere there.

Pretty sure Road to Perdition is lost, Amokandy retired and I doubt the files are saved anywhere.

And Borovsko is such a good map, why is it scrapped?

assetruler69: I've seen things you smurfs wouldn't believe. Apaches on the Kashan. I watched burned down tank hulls after the launch of the single TOW. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.

I think the best is to upload it and send it to a DEV then they'll decide what to do with it.

What about new statics? Is it worth making new ones? Looking at the similar statics on different maps makes it feel some what the same.

I think our biggest issue with more interesting maps is lack of statics of modular and varied buildings with a different setting then middle eastern/Asian. We have the small Russian set of buildings but it's limited as well.

A European, African or (south)American building set would allow to explore new regions. Our great mappers try (see Route, Sahel and a few others) maps in these regions with the current set but it's very limited in what they can do when 80% of our static is either really iconic Asian or middle-eastern in looks.

Props we got plenty but it's really buildings. We can only make so many middle eastern or russian/asian maps without becoming really similar. And exploring new buildings is for both mappers and players I think the most fun.

And new vegetation sets to go with these new regions would also be required :)

I think PR is lacking even more in localized vegetation than in buildings

PR is also lacking more factions. It would be awesome to have a Costa Rican army fight the army of Panama.

It's a joke man, Costa Rica and Panama don't even have an army or enough resources for them to be made into a faction...

Liechtenstein vs Luxembourg, you would have to downsize the player number to like 5 vs 5 for full realism

I see a different bot movement in Danesh_italiano HAX training server, are you guys testing new patterns of movement or is it just for training?
